The most frequently asked questions about the bridal bouquet

How much does a bridal bouquet cost?

An average bridal bouquet costs around 100€. The price can be a bit cheaper, but also definitely a lot more expensive. This depends on a number of things:

  • Buy a bouquet online through a Fleurop florist

  • Flowers of the season

  • Shape of the bouquet

  • Dried flowers

By buying your bridal bouquet online, a standard bouquet will be sent to you in which you have few options. This is cheaper, but of course we do not recommend this at Sierlust. There is nothing more beautiful than having your personal taste reflected in your bridal bouquet. Through personal contact, we ensure that the bridal bouquet is a perfect match with your wedding dress and wedding style.

By incorporating seasonal flowers in your bridal bouquet, these flowers are easily available and you can save on your bridal bouquet. Flowers from outside the season or exotic flowers are harder to obtain via the flower auction and therefore more expensive.

There are different shapes of a bridal bouquet possible. The most well-known is the Biedermeier and also the easiest to process shape, a field-picked bridal bouquet is also easy to create. A shape that is a lot more difficult, for example, is a teardrop-shaped bridal bouquet. The florist takes longer to create this shape.

Because dried flowers require extra processing, they are a lot more expensive than 'normal' flowers. However, the demand for dried flowers in the bridal bouquet has increased enormously in recent years. It gives a very beautiful natural / bohemian effect.

When should you order your bridal bouquet?

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and every detail counts. From the dress to the location, everything has to be perfect. And what is a wedding without beautiful flowers? But when should you actually order your bridal bouquet and other floral arrangements? As an experienced florist, I am happy to help you with this question.

The ideal timeline for ordering your bridal bouquet

While there is no hard and fast rule, the rule of thumb is to contact your florist at least 6 months to 8 weeks before your wedding day to reserve a spot during the busy wedding season. This gives us enough time to:

  • Understanding your vision: We discuss your dream wedding, the style, colours, theme and of course your budget.

  • Discover seasonal flowers: We look at which flowers are in season and fit your needs. Did you know that some flowers are only available in certain months?

  • Create a unique design: We create a bridal bouquet that reflects your personality and perfectly matches your dress and the theme of your wedding.

  • Order and reserve flowers: We ensure that the flowers are available on time and are of the highest quality.

  • Taking care of everything down to the last detail: We not only make your bridal bouquet, but also think of corsages, flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception, and possibly other flower decorations such as car parts, welcome signs, etc.
